Lastminute Gift Announcements - Q&A

Q: Do I have to buy something in order to use your gift announcements?
A: No, they're free to use anytime.

Q: How can I make sure that people get my gift announcement?
A: You will receive an email when they open it, unless you disabled that feature.

Q: I sent a gift announcement to someone but never received an email saying they opened it.
A: When you send a Gift Announcement by email, make sure your recipient checks for it. Call, text, tweet, Facebook, anything to get their attention so they check their email. They also need to check their spam box, since many email programs automatically route card service emails directly to junk or spam.

Q: Help, they say they never got my gift announcement.
A: 1. Tell them to check their spam box. eCard emails are often automatically routed to the junk box or spam box by email programs.
2. Try sending the ecard again.
3. Email the card number yourself. The spam filter help article shows you how to do that.

Q: What's a Posty?
A: Our ecard service calls ecards Postys, so if you get a message with Posty in it, it probably concerns our Gift Announcements.

Q: I want to print out a Gift Announcement, are they printable? If they are, how can I print it out?
A: Gift Announcements are printable, you just need to be a little creative. :-)
1. Fill out your Gift Announcement as if you were going to email it.
2. Make sure the "Preview First" button is checked, then click the "Click to Proceed" button.
3. When the preview is visible, print it. (File > Print with the mouse or control/P on the keyboard)
The width should adjust correctly, but you'll need to trim off the extra printing and ads on the top and bottom.


Q: Can you use an eCard from another place as a gift announcement?
A: Certainly. There are several sources for ecards here on the Greetings page

Q: I bought a gift from this company that lets you send an e-card when you checked out. There was a problem and the e-card wouldn't send. They were very nice and said they would reset the system but that will take a few days. I need to email now or she'll think I forgot- what can I do?
A: If they can't reset their system and send the card in time, just use one of our Gift Announcements.
