"Spam Filter Insurance" for eCards and Gift Announcements

Spam filters sometimes "nuke" email. At other times, the mail is delayed. Even large email providers like Hotmail have to slow down at busy times and holidays because their servers get overloaded. This is not a good thing when you're trying to email last-minute greetings to family, friends or business associates. You'll have a better chance of getting through if you email the greeting card, and then send the recipient a follow-up email through your own email service. When you send an Instant eGift Card, a card-sent page pops up. It looks like this. The card number will be different - it will the the number of the card you just sent. Copy that number. Paste it into notepad or your word processor and save it. Instant eGiftCards will email you when your recipient has opened the card. If this does not happen, or you think a spam filter might catch the card, contact the recipient yourself. Explain that you've sent a gift announcement. If it hasn't been received, the card is online, waiting to be picked up. Put the site URL and card number in your email so your recipient can go get the card. If you have not received your card by now, it may have been blocked by a spam filter. If it hasn't arrived by now, a spam filter may have blocked it. You can get your card by going to http://www.lastminute-gifts.com/egiftcards.html and entering your ticket number: [...ticket number...] Have you gotten an eGiftCard from [...your name or "me"...]? If you did, ignore this email ;-) If you didn't, a Spam Filter probably ate it.
